Collaborative multimedia class
Related to country: United States

I am a high school arts teacher at a small independent high school about an hour northwest of Boston, MA. I teach an introduction to multimedia class where we use DV cameras and computer editing to produce short video projects. My students are asked to make films which make a personal statement about a subject which is important to them. The class has 6-8 students.

I would like to start a collaborative project with a teacher and students in a similar class at a secondary school level in any country. I would love to have my students share ideas and techniques with the students in a similar class. My class runs for one trimester (10 weeks) 3 times a year, The first will start in early September and end in early November.

I would welcome contact from any teachers and/or students who might like to pursue such a collaboration in class this fall. Ideally I would like to work with a class in another country but since this is the first time I have tried this idea, a school in the US would also be just fine.

Please contact me with ideas or to discuss more details of such a project.
